OUR PRODUCT
pocketvillage.com is a brand new meta-search engine that aggregates a wide choice of extraordinary travel experiences, activities and tours. Its intuitive “Inspire Me” process makes it easy & fun to find the offers that best match your individual interests. The so collected data enables us to provide travel websites all over the world with activity offers that complete their content.
a) Meta-search engine: Through our partnerships with dozens of niche market leaders and specialist vendors we’re aggregating a combined inventory of 30,000+ activities and tours from 3,500+ local operators (de-duplicated). Most offers are conveniently bookable online.
b) Third-party data-feed is enriched with geo-locations, complete texts, images and a pocket rating that assesses the tours. The tours themselves being handpicked and tagged enable an extreme theme specific choice of activities. The particular advantage of the data-feed lies in its simplicity in the integration, the comprehensiveness of the data and the special service that our team offers to develop the best solution for every partner.
c) Selection & curation: Through a multi-step process we hand-selected and rated 5,500 extraordinary activities and tours and 5,500 unique accommodations, enabling 100% adventurous, cultural, eco, responsible, or off-the-beaten-track experiences. The user can choose and combine a variety of 60+ themes and categories. An algorithm will ensure that the most relevant and extraordinary offers are displayed on top.
d) “Inspire Me” process: The in-house team developed “Inspire Me” process lets you browse and filter intuitively through the thousands of offers and makes it easy to find the ones that best match what you’re looking for. The user can playfully draw the landscape of his dreams or pack a virtual suitcase with the things he is interested in. As our database is fully indexed, the system will then come up with a list of offers, which match the selected criteria.

You have? And have you ever wondered which experience is the right one for YOU when you’re swamped with great offers?
Well, so have we and went on a journey − a research journey.
We found out that, YES, there actually are great websites out there to book extraordinary trips. The challenge is that they’re scattered all across the web and exclusively focus on particular niches (like day-trips, adventure tours, eco-friendly or local travel). They’re GREAT at what they do, but they’re not comparable and you have to change websites in order to find all the offers available.
We also found out that, NO, there actually is no tool that helps you get inspired and decide which offer is right for YOU.
So we thought, “Wait a minute! Why not combine these two things?”, and came up with a website which provides you (1) with a search engine that aggregates all the different providers which already offer great stuff, and (2) with an interactive “inspire me” process that helps you find and choose the experience that perfectly fits your personality.
