We are excited to announce that we have won First Prize in a Start-up competition in Berlin!

The German association for online travel distribution (VIR e.V.) voted pocketvillage as Best Start-Up 2011 at its Online Innovation Days held in Berlin on 3rd June. The judges from Germany’s leading online travel portals including expedia, ebookers, HRS, holidaycheck, Lastminute, Opodo, Weg.de and JT commended pocketvillage for the innovative approach, user-friendliness and business model of pocketvillage.

“We are really overwhelmed by winning the prize“, admits Florian Harkort. “It was only a few weeks ago that pocketvillage officially launched at ITB in Berlin and we are already selected as best start-up, this is absolutely amazing! Thanks to the support of HRS, ITB, VIR and University of Bad Honnef this will give us an additional boost to further develop our products. We are extremely thankful for all the positive feedback!”
